"Just bad luck strikes again!"

Boomer, Some Guys Have all the Luck

Boomer was found floating adrift in the estuary in the out skirts of Snugboat Harbor, by Ten Cents and Sunshine, where he revealed to the switchers that he was a jinxed tug, which Ten Cents was in complete disbelief about. However after many incidents Sunshine convinced Ten Cents that the jinx may be true. After he was repaired at Lucky's Yard, Captain Star decided that Boomer was to be converted a floating house boat. He now resides at an up river jetty labelled "Dun 'Tuggin" which is a reference to his retirement, where he can relax all day, and the jinx has finally left him due to him not being in service.

Voice Actors[]

Trivia[]

  • Boomer's name was originally named Captain Harry, before being sold to another company and renamed "Boomer".
  • The story of Boomer's jinx is based of the maritime myth that if someone was to rename any boat, said boat would gain bad luck, or a "curse" as commonly known.
  • Boomer's model is shared with Sea Rogue's uncle.
  • Boomer's model makes an appearance in Up River in his tugboat form, although he was meant to be retired at that time.
  • His model was sold to The Star Tugs Trust in 2012, he had his tugboat hat, albeit missing his face mask. The face and hat of Sea Rogue's Uncle was available though, and currently on the model, the Trust is still figuring out if they should make their own of Boomer's face mask.
